This past weekend I installed the shifter and shift rods in my cuda. The shifter is a rebuilt/restored unit from Brewers and the shift rods were from Mancini. The reverse rod was about 3" too long, so I assume Mancini sent me a b or e body rod. When I went to test everything to make sure it worked, the shifter would only move one rod. The unit had ZERO lateral movement to engage the other rods. When I installed it, I took it out of the box, removed the plastic retainer and installed it. Anyone have a guess as to why I would have no lateral movement to engage the other rods?
