Ok I bow to the open close method and I do it just perfect. Now I take the chart and check every valve and find I am .002 to tight or to loose on every one.Use the chart and add or subtract what is needed kind of like hot or cold setting and done. My self I like cold because I just go to shop pull covers and set one number firing and go to work. I know where they go to hot and thats what I really want but don't want to work on it hot and drive neighbors crazy. I have had no valvetrain trouble. If and when I get a motor camshaft combo way wilder than my current 1 inch lift shaft then i guess i'll change procedure.
