The problem your experiencing I had the same issue on 2 customers cars running Super Stock spring set ups, the first car had new SS springs and it took about a week or so for the spring to "compress/relax" into proper position, luckily on the second car the SS springs had been on for some time, and could be coaxed back into position after re-assy by prying back on the rear shackles with an assistant
