There are so many aftermarket wheels available.. my thoughts are if I'm going to all this trouble, I'd like them more authentic looking, steel with trim rings. I didn't really care for the chrome repops. I'll take any referrals for a local casting company if you have.






IMHO if your going to repro them, do it correctly, you know the market will be VERY small for them, and an "Anal" market crowd at that, in regards to the correctness factor, otherwise they will shun it as an inadequate repro

Specialty Wheels had a steel insert hidden inside the casting where the lug pattern was, to prevent the wheel from exhibiting any cracking around the lug/hub area when torqued down, something you may want to consider when casting your centers
