Two thoughts:

1. As wonderful as the Max Wedge motors were, the regular 426 found in street cars was just a midpoint between 413s and 440s. Nothing more. So the camshaft is probably nothing special either.

2. Contrary to opinion expressed above, if one has smaller ports, one crutches the smaller ports by using MORE camshaft duration. Case in point, the Buick nailhead exhaust port barely flows more than 100cfm, and the stock exhaust lobe on the 401s was something like 238* @ 50 lift.
