I just spent about 1/2 hour trying to come up with something eloquent to post on the registry, and failed.
I still really don't have any words to adequately describe the loss. I do have stories from knowing him but they've already been posted over the years here.
Just dig some of those stories up and post them in the Gary guest book if you can find them. They may never be read here again because they're lost in space. I'm trying to create an archive of stories so they will never be lost, and people can read them for years
