At Test&Tune at my track last year I carried my 315/60 M/T Drag Radials and my 29.5/10.5W's and ran them both and I ran a little over a tenth quicker with the drag radials. It hooked with both sets of tires. I only run 1/8 mile and my D-50 mostly runs low 6.30's at 2950 lbs.I do not think I will buy slicks again.

would this be the same for my heavy car? your 800 lbs lighter!

I will ask.... do you really care if your just a few
thousandths slower running a bias that is known to
be more forgiving even on a marginal track... you
already said that the track hooks 70% of the time..
to me there isnt any choice and thats to run the bias
tire... if your a true bracket racer, your out there
for the money... and in that you cant afford to have
the slip one time... one time and you go home with
a empty pocket.... JMO .... I made 8 passes in a day
and didnt have more than .007 difference for the whole
day and the 60' was 1.20 all day long.... if I wanted
to chase ET then sure I would give them a shot...
but I dont chase ET
