That looks exactly like the OE bracket in my '71 Demon 318, to which I added a strap to reach the upper hole when I installed a 360 more than a decade ago. I just looked at a 340, 4 360's and a 318 Poly and NONE has the lower rear hole. It looks like width isn't the only difference in the 318 and 340 brackets.


EDIT: Somebody who makes brackets and such should probably create this part. I don't know what they were thinking at MP when they decided to make 340 ears at 318 width.

The passenger side mount fits the drivers side boses but the holes for the rubber mount would be located in the wrong place. I suppose using another passenger side bracket with new holes drilled to put the rubber mount in the correct location would work.
