Get a nice set of off-road lights, trust me, they can be had second hand rather inexpensively. I ran into the same situation on my '93 truck years back, a couple 8" Bosch lights w/ 100-watt bulbs solved it! I love messing with lighting, I "improve" it on every car I own!
