One thing to remember that I see a lot of guys leaving out, is that there is a huge difference in towing an open car trailer and towing an enclosed trailer. I've had both diesel and gas 3/4 ton trucks towing both types of car trailers. Once I bought a diesel, I wondered why I hadn't done it years ago.
