I tried to do this today; the switch capillary tube is stuck tight in the suction tube, was concerned that I would break it. I tried holding it with a pair of pliers and tapping the pliers with a hammer...no movement.

Is this a fragile tube? How much pulling/tapping/pressure will it endure before it breaks?
