I had an '82 and '84, both were lousy from new for A/C. Pulling out the tube even a little led for freeze ups after as little as an hour. By '88 or so the A/C units were back to what I regard as normal operation. NEVER figured out how to get satisfactory A/C performance out of them, except to wait for winter.
