Whichever shims we use the pattern 'wobbles' around like if the ring gear is bent or the r&p doesn't match. Hope you catc what I mean Put a deal indicator on the back of the ring gear in the housing.Check the run out.It would be better to do this with the pinion gear out. Possibly the ring gear didn't seat on the carrier properly or a little dirt. Also the carrier may not have seated properly in the housing.
