a pinion snubber is only there in case you overload your car with weight and it sags down and the driveshaft rubs in the tunnel----if you are dragracing and your rear end goes down your set up is wrong wrong wrong--i have cut down about 20 truck dana 60s to A and C body sizes---you use axle ends from an 8 3/4 housing---i also found the best mass produced (price) axles are yukon--they are only sold as A-C units--bought mine from Randys in lots of 10 sets for a discount--of course these are 30 spline units which some guys might not like (versus 35)---but i have unit running under a 70 roadrunner 440 blown stroked(750+ horse) 4 speed drag car for the last 3 seasons without any spline migration...bob PS do not use 9 1/4 axle ends--chevy guys do C clip elimination with 9 inch axle ends which can be you alternate plan---price out the custom axle prices versus a pair of yukons...bob
