I recently read a report from another race shop where he sent in several oils on his own to have them tested,both for anti wear additive content and an actual wear test. VR1 conventional racing oil was better than a lot of so called racing oils that have twice the price tag. Even a bunch of high dollar synthetics. I have been using Joe Gibbs racing oils for a few years but this test has me wondering.
As far as additives,Comp Cams sells one pretty reasonable.
