strange that most replys concern the balance. I would check the measurements first. If you have a bellhousing that accepts the big 143 tooth flywheel or the smaller 383 housing that accepts the 130 tooth wheel. You will not engage the starter if you use the wrong combo. Then the major problem: A real 318 flywheel is drilled for a smaller clutch. It will not fit the 10,5" scalloped unless you drill it for the bigger clutch. And, you do not want the 440 torque through a 318 clutch. My
How do I know? Well, been through it, except I tried to use the 318 on a 340, same issue unless you can accept a weak clutch....
