I understand you are looking for specific combos... I don't have any. I'll add, mostly as a bump, the "rule of thumb" is 9.5 CR for iron heads/pump gas. With good quench and a larger cam, maybe higher 9's. With open chamber and/or small cam lower 9's.

A lot depends on the rest of the setup and application. Quench, cam, piston (forged/cast) make a big difference. Sustained operation under load like towing or high speed runs builds up heat and can cause detonation. CR needs to be a bit lower. A short blast down the track with a good cool down between rounds can run a higher CR.

I've had engines right at the edge and didn't care for it. I prefer to back off just a little from the estimated max possible CR to gain margin and make sure my engine doesn't self destruct if I really push it hard and long.
