I've ran four speeds with gears a lot worst than that , they didn't pop out of gear OP, look at the slider to see if it is ate up on the front and back sides that engage the gears, there is a reason it is jumping out of gear, it is not engaged far enough to stay in gear. The magic(hard part to figure out) is what is casuing that, slider, shifter adjustments, rooster combs or wear on the selector arms on the cover , gear wear, slider wear or?
