The Indy 401-sr heads flow better than the Edelbrock heads and for that I would use the air gap intake .
Also if you offset grind the crank to " SB chevy rods" it makes it a engine which has proven to be a reliable power house
it is not to hard to build 500+ hp and 500+ ft torque in a very street oriented build
Parts are available to go from mild to 1000 + hp so have fun.
they have even started makeing HYD roller lifters for the AMC
