why? because they are not calibrated for accuracy down the 100s of pounds. try it some time smart guy




umm...yes they are. There is legal requirement to certify them to +/- 20lbs (withing the weights they measure. And they are usually very accurate at lighter weights.
The Unitec company certifies our scale to +/- 10 lbs. We weight EVERY truck we build (have too) to determine tare weight.
