some have a extention piece you remove to use the studs right off the starter.

my last 2 have been U-pull it speicals for 14$



Just installed a 98 1500 truck starter on mine. It needed a new starter anyway and I was tired of wrestling my heavy stock unit. I had to enlarge the hole in the stock solenoid wire just a tad with a file but everything else went on like stock
