I already figured I would be doing the roof skin and full quarters that's not realy the problem. The issue is that they cut through the roof frame. Would it be structuraly ok to butt weld the roof structure at the c piller and a pillars?

BTW it's a R/T car 440 auto pp1 red, black top interior and stripe so I feel it's worth a little effort to try and save it.

Are you saying that instead of skinning the roof they cut it all the way through the A and C pillars? Then welded it back together?
