if the pistons are fine/etc then just get the journals ground down as little as you can (say 0.010?) new undersized bearings and go. Swap to a COMP XE 285HL (241/247 @ .050, 110 LSA, .545/.545 lift) or voodoo 60305 cam (242/252, 110 LSA, and .533/.552 lift) and it'll probably run pretty every bit as good as you'd hope a stroker would for a LOT less coin (IE broader powerband, more peak power than the .509 cammed 440, better idle/driveability/etc)

That being said, a stroker would still make for a better engine with some decent heads and an even larger cam...but since you spent the money once, it's up to you to justify spending it again for the benefits.
