If you have 3 inch exhaust with big headers, a high flowing intake setup and you are going to invest in good flowing heads then the stroker will take better advantage of those items.
I bought a stroker crank for the 440 in my 71 Road Runner but when I decided I wanted a stock six pack intake and stock exhaust manifolds I also decided to go with the stock stroke. With the current price of gas and the fact I like to drive the car alot, I did the right thing.

I'd probably go 440 route. It will be much cheaper. That said if you have the $$$$ go big
