I'm surprised that car would be legal for NHRA stock, NHRA didn't allowed aftermarket intakes in stock or any modified intakes when I race back in the 1970 to 2000s What say those that know the current rules on intakes allowed in NHRA "stock" now? I use to help two NHRA SS class racers that raced a original 1965 A990 Plymouth Hemi Belvedere SS/BA and a clone 1968 Hemi Dart stick shift SS/A in the late 1980 and 1990s. They were allowed to race with aftermarket manifolds that were approved by NHRA to use in the SS classes back then Both of them set their class records for a short time in the early 1990s
Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

We’ll see if they got the car repaired and are back for another attempt at it this weekend.

Classification guide shows a dual carb race Hemi deal legal for Stock in a factory SS car. Rated at 450HP. Would have to use OE intake and valve lift, no funny business with the heads, among other things. Not sure how but it's there. I'll have to ask folks who do know.
The single four NASCAR combo, rated at 428, has been there. The Carp car used to run that I think.
Different parts allowed on those cars with different engines - steel vs. aluminum, hood scoops, different wheelbases, etc.

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

We’ll see if they got the car repaired and are back for another attempt at it this weekend. Blew the tires off first run. Put it on the bumper second. Yes, these cars are adjustable.

Wheelie bars up on the bumper. Not sure if that's the way to go to set a NHRA record. Shouldn't be hard on the bars, or on them at all, when it's right. Not supposed to go that high. Went over center on the chassis when it blew the tires off first run. Hooked and then some on the second.
If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

The big wheelie was last weekend. Resulted in some front end damage....... hopefully they got it all fixed up.
One of my friends is down there...... said there is a little head wind this morning.

I didn’t see Hoven on the q sheet from yesterday.
After thinking about it for a bit....... I doubt they would go for the record at a “Divisional” race, since it would likely result in a HP hit from the AHFS. Last week was an “open”, where the AHFS doesn’t apply.

Apparently Todd injured his back when the car came down....... so he’s in recovery mode for a little while.
