Hi, I am using a 440 Eagle crank with 4.25 stroke only to find the mains are .0005 oversize giving me under .002 thou of clearance on the mains. Same issue on the rods but because they are BBC size I found the +.001 bearings for them. Does anyone make +.001 mains for the 440? FWIW Another issue with these Eagle cranks with the BBC rods is they leave the journels Chrysler width so I ended up with .060 thou of side clearance . I fixed this issue using the K1 Rods that are Chevy size and Chrysler width. This is hopefully the last time I will have to work with Eagle Cranks

Your best bet is with the F/M 119M. They typically are at LEAST +.0005 ( if not more) over the Clevites for the most part.

We are using the Clevite 1277 bearings to take advantage of the larger thrust area and the full grove.
Is that the MS-1277HG or the MS-1277P ?
I have been using the HG series and have good main bearing clearance (0.003"). But my crank dia is 2.7493"
