exactly what I said at Indy MIKE ROTH'S 5.7 F/SA ran 10.00 1.83 under the index
Big Daddy's 6.1 A/SA only 10.40's. half a second slower than those in his class

home of the

There is also strategy involved on where to qualify at a national event...

We only got one qualifying shot and the air sucks here. 76% hum. and 28.63 baro. Big Daddys tune up did not like these conditions. Also he had a slick coming apart after only 6 passes. He should run better today.

I would have been shocked not to see 2 dragpak's at the top.

Like the new cars, but let's see them open them up and find where they really belong.

Feel bad for the guys that have spent tens of thousands on old cars that are vertually useless in class / headsup eliminations.

Kudo's to Mike Jeffrey. Pretty fast for a slant six. That is more impressive to me.

exactly, new cars should have a class for themselves. Just had this talk today actually with a big name SS/BA racer... he cant hang with the new mustangs!

Carey's runs were impressive but how about as far back as 2009 at Indy when Mel and Randy Warford went 10.04 in A/SA at the first race with their Challenger and a basic Drag Pak factory motor? But back to 2011, Congratulations Doug!!!!!!!!!

All these guys have to do is wait and the new cars will cycle themselves out to where they belong. Class racing has been through this dozens of times before, (LS-1, LT-1 just to name a couple) and likely will go through it again.

Besides, how many of the older combos are not using some kind of "replacement" parts that were never on the cars, or have a "paper" combination?
