I am chasing a idle issue on my holley carb. It is just back from being rebuilt from a respected place. My question is it wants to idle high so I started spraying for vacuum leaks and if I spray the secondary shaft at base plat it almost kills engine. Just asking if this is normal or if it means there is too much of a vacuum leak there. Thanks

I think you have found your issue.

sounds like the shaft is worn or maybe they didn't replace a o-ring or something

Thanks for the replies. I just did not want to complain about something that is normal.
