Does anyone offer a 9/16-20 "female" inverted flare adapter, tee, etc? Or, can someone suggest adapting a 9/16-20 inverted male withh a more common size that a 3/8-24 brake line can be attached. I'm open to using AN fitting too.

Just to clarify, this the 9/16-20 inverted flare, male fitting that is found on the "front", rear brake line which attaches to "rear-out" on the proportionate valve on a '73 Challenger with disc/drums).

Step two is to cut off the 9/16-20 nut & inverted flare and add another tube nut and then reflare the line. Just want to make sure that I'm not overlooking something especially since I'm dealing with a stainless steel line.

Why work so hard...just flare you own with this:

I keep them in stock.

They do make several different adapters, but they make the lines look cobbled together...like on my '65 Power Wagon. I'd buy the correct nut and re-flare.

Close however, it's a 9/16-20 "female" adapter that I'm seeking.

It will look something like this.
http://store.fedhillusa.com/ad5br.aspx The 9/16"-20 male inverted flare end, needs to to screw into the port.

I suspect I'll cut the line. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't over looking an existing fitting/adapter.

Standard inverted flare fittings aren't typically sized by the nut size but by the tubing size. What size tubing are you using?

6PakBee, that would be a 3/16" line.

FuryUs, that is a 9/16 in. male fitting you found. I need an adapter or tee that the fitting you directed me to, screws into.
