Gotta family grudge match coming up. My father-in-law wants to race his new 4 door Ford dually against my new hemi ram long bed. This will be a quarter mile race. So do I have anything to worry about.

Read the 2nd paragraph under "Prodigious Performance". Car & Driver review But 16.4 isn't bad for a "tank". But a 2009 Ram with a Hemi went 14.4! Motor Trend 2009 Ram test Now it depends on other details of the actual trucks, like weight, gearing, etc. Now go kick some "dupa"!

Totally stock on both trucks no power adders of turbo upgrades.

I took my chevy suburban with a 8.1 4.11 gears and cleaned house one day on a bunch of other pickup trucks. I told everyone it was a 5.7. Then some smartalec kid showed up with his girlfiend in a hemi pickup. I left first and before the 60' he was was even. Then i think i must have hit the brakes. He went 14.50 and i did my normal 15.84. Not even close More than 4 cars. Then the punk kid came over and asked if i wanted to run him again. NOT! If the diesel has a bullydog kit it might be a different story. Stock it won't be close.

I race a 92 D150 S/B 2WD witha 5.2 and some stuff done to it ( computer, headers etc)it runs low to mid 15s and weighs a little over 4200 lbs, my 08 Hemi QC 1500 4WD ( stock except for a K@N filter)is around 6200 lbs and it ran 15.40s when I ran it no wonder it tows so well!
