Thanks much for all the help recently on my six-pack. I've learned a bunch of great stuff!

One more question -- In the photos I've seen here on Moparts recently of other six-pack setups, most seem to have two throttle return springs (one pulling in each direction). On my setup, I have just the one at the front pulling forward.

Are these supposed to have both? If so, anyone know what part# or where I can buy the correct one for the back?

Also, what might be the consequences I might have by not having both springs, as in my current situation?

Thanks a lot!

It's always best to have two springs in case one breaks or pops loose. Saves on that panic moment when the throttle hangs wide open.

Depends if it is a 4 speed ot not. Smaller spring towards the rear of the carbs is for the kickdown.

Lots of guys put a smaller diameter but same length spring inside the other on the setup you have.

there is a throttle spring coming in from the front and a kickdown spring coming in from the back on automatics. the kickdown spring on makes sure the kickdown rod is in the forward position. it does nothing to the throttle lever.

a third skinny spring is sometimes added to the center of the front spring as a safety backup in case the first spring breaks
