I posted awhile back about this cam and now I have another question.

I called LSM about what Spring pressure i would need for this cam and they just told me to use there L700 B spring.

I wanted to know what pressures I would need because I have two sets of lightly used PSI springs and set new in box. I rather use one of these three sets then buy a whole new set.

I can play with the spring hieght a good amount to get more pressure if needed and still stay at .060 from bind.

What Open/closed pressures do you think is needed for this cam.

Ill try and post the cam card.

1.8 rockers

THANK YOU!

around a 3.5 lobe lift at 1.5 1.8 is a 630 lift on the intake So 210 220 on seat pressure would work @ 1.950

I'll assume the lift numbers are at the lobe and the duration is @.050. If so you'll need 400#+ seat and 1100#+ open depending on valve size, cubic inches, induction, number of carbs, intended use and rpm range and so on.

IMO,
There is not enough information on that cam card to make spring pressure recommendations. I can't tell if the lift intensity from 0.050" to 0.100" and 0.200" etc is soft or hard.

Also the rpm, valve train weights, etc. play a role.

What are the springs pressures for the springs the cam manufacturer recommends?

Holy cow that cam has 116 LCA, and those specs are given to install the cam straight at 116 ICL..
Must be a Blower cam IMO...
I also noticed its a 4-7 swap..
I would do some asking around to see if anyone has actually tried this cam in a similar application..
This thing would make zero power in your average Big Block Bracket engine...FACT

This engine is going in a Mini Modified tractor for tractor pulling.

it is a 620ci and spins 7500-8000rpm for 90% on its run.

it runs on alchy injection.

LSM told me to set it at 112. Intake center line.

Titanium 2.40 int valves. All T/D rockers

Also LSM had this entire engine for awhile so they seemed to know what they were doing with the cam
