I am replacing the radiator on my '67 R/T.

The water pump housing on my 440 has the outlet on the passenger side. I understand this is a 1974 and later big block housing.

If I get an earlier water pump housing with the outlet on the driver side, so I can fit up the lower hose to a standard 26" radiator, will the pump internals swap out, or do I need to get a driver side outlet housing and pump together? Thanks!!

Been on SB's for decades but I was thinking that some BB housings have 1/2" & some have 5/8" heater hose fittings. Not sure if that is correct but if so nothing that cant b solved EDIT & if you weld on an anti cavitation plate between vanes and pump body it'll make the impeller more efficient

Thanks. I am picking a earlier housing up off a friend on Tuesday, and I'll note that. I'm installing a heater bypass hose regardless.

Thanks for the other tip, but my welding capabilities end at the tip of a soldering iron
