I vote sixpack. I know a guy that had a Dumpter (Duster) that had a six pack hood installed on backwards to meet rules. Looked terrible but gave him the clearance he needed. No cowl hoods belong on Mopars. It's a Chevy thing.

Pics for all you cowl hood haters....running a 9" FORD. What a joke. Buy an AAR smooth COWL HOOD. NOTHING looks better on Demon's.
DaKuda, from the looks of things, not a single one of those cowl scoops in your A body pictures is close enough to the windshield in order to make it function correctly. So all its really there for is additional hood clearance. Plus the fact that they are just butt-ugly on a Mopar, or even some Chevy's. Those things started out low, like on the original Chevelles or 70 Road Runner, and then grew to ridiculous, clown-car proportions. Might as well run fiberglass fender flares and paint polka dots on the car.

what's even but-uglier is a six pack hood on anything other than a 6-pack car (A-12) MAYBE on a 68 Coronet or RR... A-body's look much better w/ a HEMI scoop or cowl. On a 70-up A-body the best scoop would be the snorkel.

I have a cowl hood on my '67 Dart. I got it because it was a bargain at a swap meet and I wanted a fiberglass hood. In my opinion you wouldn't go wrong with either selection you mentioned, although the pro stock snorkel you posted doesnt look right to me.
Better get inside Ma. Looks like a storm's comin'.

There's alot of 'opinions'in this thread, everyone has different taste. I loved the 6-pack scoop on my 69 Dart, nothing in my opinion would have looked better on it, although a cowl would have been cool too. To say 6-packs are only for A12 cars is rediculous.
My 72 Duster will have a dual snorkel scoop on it.

cowl hoods look killer on a demon.... besides ...a 70 road runner hood is basically like a cowl hood..although it doesnt get air from the cowl... but in appearance..i think its basically the same look
