It's a 318 w/o any casting date but has GM318R 33700500 stamped below the head. It was a pretty built up block with balanced internals,which seems kind of odd for a 318 to me & also no casting date

318 = Cubic inches
3370 = Assembly Date October 19, 1970
0500 = 500th engine assembled

*BTW original poster, those numbers equate to a regular old run of the mill 1971 318.
