Does anyone have a photo of a correct heater control valve for a 72 Polara? It's a 360 A/C car, and the control valve is cable controlled. Thanks!

72'? Cable operated? Would have left the factory with a valve looking like this;

Replacements superseded to an all metal valve year or two later.

It's not my car...a buddy's car. His is missing, except the bracket is still on the inner fender. The car is a weekend family cruiser so he may be open to just about anything.

The bakelite piece is anywhere from 100 bucks and up...The metal repop is around 30...So that's what you're looking at pricewise...

A friend of mine let me know about some NOS bakelite pieces running on ebay now for $45 each. My friend with the car ordered a metal one from NAPA today for the same price (and no shipping), so he is going to see if the NAPA one will do what he needs. Thanks again.

No problem...Yep, I've seen the NOS pieces go for around 50 bucks but they don't sit around long at that price !!! They're on the bag all the time at 100 that's why I threw that number out...Good luck !!
