I cant imagine its easy.. A and B bodies are almost impossible to get off when the dash is mounted in the car, but ive never done an E body so I guess I can't say for sure.

what's involved in changing out my cudas dash pad..is it a hard thing to do? i guess the cluster, steering column has to drop and the glove box has to come out...any hard to get to screws and nuts?
Well you can do it the HARD way, in the car!.....you'll only do it once like that!........what sounds the "hardest" is actually quite easy, disconnect the battery, lower the steering column,....theres 4 screws in the defroster vents uptop at the base of the windshield, undo the vent cables, heat, fresh air, a few bolts holding some struts around the pedal brace/steering brace to dash, disconnect the speedo cable, main bulkhead electrical connector, door jamb switch wires, radio antaneea cable, bulkhead connector at driverside kick panel, label all these connections if your memory can't......otherwise you'll be back here asking where this and that go!......2 bolts left that hold the whole rig in, located in the lower corners of the dash, like where the E brake release is located, you see a tab with a 3/8-16 bolt, one in each corner, the dash should drop down, a helper would be nice?......pull away carefully, as there's always something you forgot to undo!......now changing that pad will be a breeze!.....plus you can repaint the lower sheetmetal section,.....when your done just reverse what you did to remove it!....just don't pinch any wires!......I know it sounds like a big job, but doing it in the car, is just plain "murder"......I've been doing E bodies for 30 years!.....you learn the "hard" way real fast! good luck ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbs.gif)
I forgot to mention?.......if you have AC ....Bless you! ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/pity.gif)

Well I would'nt call it a winter project. Best to take out the whole dash out and then it is easy. Takes about 4 hours if your done it before. Can be done in one day. Don't take it apart and leave it sit all winter, bad idea.
