Has anyone used or know anything about PRW's Rocker Arms? Aluminum or Stainless. Thinking about purchasing for a 416 stroker with edelbrock LA heads.

I would shy away from the aluminum. If I where going to try a set it would be the bushed stainless.

I have a set of the aluminums on my new 500 wedge with Eddy heads. They look good and went on with out any problems. The engine hasn’t been run yet, but very soon. I’m still finishing up the car. The shop I bought them from says he has several sets running here East TN with out any problems. Guess I’ll find out.

I just bought a set of the stainless for a budget 408. They seem like nice pieces for the price a got mine on ebag for $281 shipped to my door. I was told to stay away from the aluminum ones was told they have cheap bearings that will cause problems with much above a stout hydralic or decent solid spring. Ryan J has them the stainless on his big block street car and told me he lashed the valve's when motor was new then after 9,000 miles and lash was only .003 diff. seems good to me.

Ryan put a set of the stainless rockers on my small block nitrous motor and they have been great so far. I keep checking the lash, but its always been good.

Yes, we did use the T&D adjusters. All the other parts are fine.

Its not been brought up yet, but even for a mild roller the prw-s are what I consider the poor mans HS, as mentioned swap out the adjusters.

But what has not been mentioned here is although the T bearing used in the prw-s have if I recall 4 less rollers in there T style needle bearing ITS a direct cross ref part number to the same bearings used in the HS rockers.

So there then the possible quality of the al used and the fact they are not as wide, here again I see them as the HS on the cheap and do know of several sets in use with no problems in the 550-600 open area, NOT in the 700-750 area.

http://www.wholesalebearing.com/nrcagetype.html

HS has the INA SCE 146, PRW IKO BA 146 Same specs, interchangable if needed.
