Hey guys,

I am getting ready to install my TKO 600 in my 1969 340 that came in my 71 Challenger. Can someone please tell me what the correct depth should be on the crank hole? I've read here that the automatics had one depth and the mannuals had another but I don't know what the depths are. For comparrison sake what would be the depth for the auto? Thanks

Dave

Easy. Put the bell on the engine and measure from the transmission mount face to the bottom of the hole

Then measure from the end of the shaft to the transmission mounting face. Be sure you leave a little "fudge" room

'S how we did it then. 'S how we do it now.

No lasers, no levels, no transits, computers or digital readouts
