Does anyone have a picture of the backside of an original hemi heat riser counterweight. I'm installing a reproduction and the tab circled in red seem like it's going to catch on the anti-rattle spring. What am I doing wrong? Has anyone else had a problem?

Thanks Cy

Pretty sure that part is where the asbestos sleeve goes to keep it from rattling against the post.

One more thing about those hemi heat riser counterweights - Do yourself a very big favor and put a small tack-weld between the weight and shaft. After getting all my pieces in place and clamped down "tight" with the little bolt, it vibrated loose on one of the early test drives and was never recovered...and I spent a lot of time trying to find it. Of course you just can't purchase the counterweight by itself, you have to get the whole kit ($$$$) So this time I got everything in place again - tight - and broke out the welder to insure there would be no repeats of the problem. Just a small tack-weld does the trick and is easily reversible if I need to remove the counterweight in the future.

What about a little high-heat locktite? Would seem a little easier to me.
