Ok...Every time someone brings up the "ride quality" of the old bias-ply reproduction GoodYear PolyGlas GT's there is always a group of people that say they would "NEVER" give up their radial tires just for the look of the PolyGlas...

There are also people fed-up with the fact that there isn't a good looking GoodYear radial tires available anymore...

Well I've come up with an idea that may please some people....ALTHOUGH, NOT AT ALL CORRECT FOR ANY MOPAR the newest radial tires available from KELSEY TIRE may fill the void...

Kelsey Tire just released a GoodYear Polysteel tire which is available with small white letters...Right now only one size 225/70/15 but it's a pretty nice looking tire and may be a nice alternative....

Make some with redlines too. at least it has the bias ply square look. I don't like the look of redlines and radials

Yes the "one size" is a definite draw back. They obviously manufacture them for a certain GM product ...but you never know, if there is a lot of interest from enough people insisting on running radials....They could expand the line-up...
Think of it...if they could satisfy BOTH CUSTOMERS, the bias-ply and radial guys, Maybe double their sales

You can get this type reproduction in a 255/60/15 In my opinion would look 1000 times better on a Mopar then a BF Goodrich T/A

Late '70s Corvette tire, IIRC. Had a nice ride as I recall.

That 255 for the '78 'Vette pace car is a special tire. The Flexten radial GT had/ has Kelvar belting in them. The price tag reflects this!!!!

If anyone has questions about these tires, feel free to contact me and I will be happy to help!!

That is a Goodyear GT Radial. Standard tire on Little Red Express, and 1978 Pace Car Corvettes.
I went thru 3 sets on my Challenger back in the 70's and 80's. Gave 'em hell... What an unbelievably awesome handling tire, wet or dry pavement. They are being repopped now, but a set will run you 1300-1400 dollars... I'd buy a set now, but can't afford them.

Not sure who has them, or what sizes are offered, but you can Google it...

Thanks a bunch! Not in the market for tires just yet. I'm a big Goodyear fan and always have been. I'm now running Eagle GT's II's on my 73 Challenger. Yep, the same Challenger from the 70's that I ran the GT Radials on. Bought the car in 73, and it has worn nothing but Goodyears its whole life. Wore out the skinny Goodyear OE whitewalls at 12,000 miles. Went thru a set of RWL Polyglas, then 3 sets of GT's. The car then slept for 20 years, now it has the Eagles. When I'm ready to replace them, I'll be giving you a call...
