Hi Guys,
I need to remove my Holley 2-bbl center carb for the first time (for me) .... but am not sure how these little clips that hold the Choke Rod work? I don't want to bend/break them ... is there a trick to these? Looks like I have a similar one on the throttle linkage piece that links the two outboards to the center...

How do you get these little buggers off ?

Thanks!

Simple. I used to remove these with my fingers. See the two small straps that wrap part way around the choke rod? They are open at the front. You use your fingers or appropriate tool, to push the clip AT THE BOTTOM, towards the front of the engine, or to the right in this picture.

These were simple design, and in my opinion, worked great. I had very little trouble with them.

Either push it off with your finger or use a small screw driver and push it forward. Not much pressure holding it
