I'd heard from a couple of places that Probe Industries, who was the original manufacturer of Hughes' CNC rockers, has since gotten out of the rocker arm business. Kevn at Hughes posted something on here maybe a couple of weeks ago that Hughes picked up Probe's Mopar rocker fixtures, etc.

Anyway, I just got off the phone w/ Dave H. to order some and it sounds like they're still a couple of weeks away from having them available, again. I placed the order anyway, but I've never been good at waiting...

I just got my rocker shaft holddown kit yesterday for my 1.6 Hughes roller rockers and shafts. I have had the rockers for over a year. Ron

The owner of Probe, Mark O'Neal is a long time member on YB. You could ask him directly what the hold up is. He might even expedite your parts considering they're kind of slow.

From the sounds of it (and I could have misunderstood), Probe is out of this whole deal now and Hughes is having to source the parts elsewhere for final assembly.

We bought all of the tooling and fixturing from Probe and it will all be done either here in-house or here locally. We are still working out some of thefinal details but should have rockers ready to go in the next week or so.
Thanks, Kevin @ Hughes Engines

Hey Kevin, that sounds exciting. It would be great for someone like you guys to pull all the parts together for a bullet proof valve train. Good rocker arms, HD shafts, a stud kit that is the correct length, HD hold downs, shims, good adjuster hardware, etc.

Mine showed up last week, but I only needed some exhaust rockers to go w/ the intakes I already have for my CNC Victors.

KInda off topic but here goes anyway.Who manufactured the early Hughes rockers(before the last incarnation)?I have heard them called "dove" rockers before but that means nothing to me.
I have a set of 1.6's that I have used on two different motors for many years.
When should I consider them at risk for failure?

Dove Manufacturing (doveengineparts.com) makes Indy's house-brand rockers and used to make the ones Hughes sold before switching to Probe's.

From what I've seen & heard, they hold up OK w/ flat-tappet spring pressures, but can be expected to split once fatigued after subjected to the higher spring loads required for roller cams.

Hughes Rockers are well worth the wait.
I have the shaft roller rockers for the magnum and they are very nice.
I dont know who made them, but they are high quality.
