The one I made is real similar as well. I just used two engine hoists to pick up the whole car to get it mounted with the suspension still attached. Then roller the car over & used the pickers to lift the front suspension/K-Frame assy & rear axle assy off. Never even had to lay under the car. Worked great.

how high a ceiling in the garage for rolling the body over?
The height of the pivot plus half the width of the car will give you a real good idea.

I have a 10' ceiling. My old garage was 8' but I had to lower the rotisserie all the way down to get it to work. I would think anything under 8' would not work if its on casters.

okay thanks for replies. seems that I need to consider "where" I am going to hang the car and then avoid low doors. might even modify my rafters by adding a "bay in the center to accomodate a lift at later date and auto twirler now. hate to wind up being the guy who built the boat in his basement and kept getting asked, "how he was going to get it out"?

Love those pictures posted by nitrousn. Leads me to another question.
In attachment #1; the picture of the front clip/frame. At the left and right hand sides of the lower firewall, you have two support braces that attach to the rocker panels, dimpled looking sheetmetal. I cannot seem to find those in my Parts Manual, anybody know if these are being reproduced or have a name for them in particular? Thanks, believe I may need to think about replacing mine, unless the ones from a Road Runner or GTX will fit? Thanks again for all the help.
regards,
