anyone using a magnum engine, with flipped magnum manifolds, and p/s? i tried holding the manifold up to the engine, but the manifold will hit the p/s pump.i wanted to keep the serpentine system for ease of belt alignment, and the newer, smaller alternator.it's going in an '85 d150 if that matters?

Gotta build your own headers or trash the original belt routing. You can't always take the easy way out.

not sure if it helps, but the van magnum engine uses a different power steering pump.
it mounts it a few inches lower. So it if it hitting it square in the middle it does nothing for you.

if you need to miss it by an inch, you might try to find one.
requires a different belt to user it.

I saw a PS pump on an early-Magnum Dakota that mounted higher also.

thanks for the info guys. i'll check both van, and dakota set ups, to see if either will work.but, if worse comes to worst, i do have some bare flanges so i could buy tubing, and build my own.i should have known there was no "total" easy way. either have the serpentine system(one belt, no alignment issues, plus newer, higher output alternator),and build headers.or bolt on manifolds, y pipe, and hang the turbo on it, but convert back to v belt, and try to get everything aligned. oh well, it hasn't whipped me yet. thanks again.

I run flipped stainless shorty headers and yes, they would hit the PS pump. So we made a bracket to move it "up" a bit but still on the same plain as the rest of the pulleys. Works like a champ.

If I remember, I will see if I can find a pic of the bracket later...
