I need to replace the radiator in my 65 Sattelite. It's got a 22" now and I was thinking of going to a 26". The front of the 65 is much tighter than my 67 and it looks like it won't clear the battery tray. I'd rather leave the battery up front if possible. I was thinking of notching the tray and using a shorter battery. Anyone else put a 26" in a 63-65 B and leave the battery in front?

I did it in my 65 coronet.
had to move the horns onto the other side of the rad support.
got a split mounting bracket on the battery side and it fits with the battery up front. Very tight fit, but it works.
this is for my new dual pass aluminum, but it bolted up in the same holes as the 26 inch from a 68 fury I had bolted in the same spot.

Okay thanks, that's good news. Were you able to fit a shroud?

I have not. I switched to electric fans when I changed over.
I did not even try to line up the mechanical fan to the 26 inch since I figured it was shifted a bit.

I did it. Did some notching, drilled two holes and it lined right up. Battery tray is in the stock location. Moved the horns to the opposite side. I even run a clutch fan. The volume of the 26 helps relative to the 22.
