Didn't even think about this earlier, but my shift shaft seal was leaking, so tore the trans down, replaced the seal last night, then realized I didn't have a seal for the kickdown, and the local parts stores don't either. Where can I get one, please? and yes, I'm doing a Transgo shift kit while I'm in there.

I haven't tried NAPA. There's none real close, and they seem to only be only for about an hour each day. I'll give them a try though. Thanks... Well, shift shaft and pan were both leaking, plus this gave me an excuse to do the shift kit. Shift shaft seal was no problem with everything pulled out. I have no idea how you'd change that in the car without pulling the pan.

thanks, I'm interested in seeing it. BTW, is this the seal I'm looking for? The description sounds right, but they don't give ID/OD for it. http://www.napaonline.com/Search/Detail....7+50056+2056051

I have a new one from mopar, still in the package, you can have it if you want it...PM if you do
the dealer should still have both of those seals along with the front pump and rear seal...IRC about 65$ for all 4 seals and a new style pan gasket
which I recomend using on it also, its reusable
I called NAPA, gave the guy the part number on their website, and he said it wasn't coming up as anything in his system. He'd look into, and call me back. Just called the dealer, and they don't list anything suggested I call a trans shop.
May be interested in yours, if you have just the kickdown seal by itself, or if you'd give me the part number, and let me try the dealer again. Also, after actually pulling it, I see it can easily be replaced with the trans assembled and in the car (the shift shaft seal appears to be a different story). So, I will probably just put it back together as is, and replace the kickdown seal when I can get one.
thanks!

Finally found a seal. I was in NAPA today getting fuel line for my truck. Thought I'd ask. Sure enough they had it on the shelf. Guess the guy on the phone was just to lazy to figure out how to work the computer...
