I normally foot break but have a tbrake and do play with it on occasion 60 foots are low 1.40s and have been in the high 1.30s there seems to be very little difference between the two, the wheels do get a little higher with the brake

Ok to steal show a little, so than equal amount of leafs on both sides or leave 1 extra in the right side as you would without caltracs?

I'm not trying to be difficult, it comes naturally....

I was discussing this with an local mopar guy and we were saying ... why wouldnt this work ?? Seems like you just need a NON stiff leaf spring to work with the Caltracs...... yes?

Ive already got the Rancho 9 ways on mine so ...

I removed one leaf from each side the springs are just there to hold the weight not for traction.I also clamped the leafs

on a 6 or 7 leaf spring that is only removing a short section that would only effect the front segment relating to windup.

I'm thinking that you are going to want to duplicate the mono leaf they sell, only with multiple leafs. i.e., full length segments from front eye to rear eye, stopping when you achieve the correct checking rate, to support the rear of the car.

how can i estimate the spring rate ?

or would it be a trial and error deal

i woud think a front to raer % of total weight would be a start.i think removing 1/2 of the springs would be a place to start.i believe it is the first 2 or 3 springs that hold the car weight.i am just quessing tho.
