I have a set of 340 exhaust manifolds RH 2863549 with an L1 below that and LH 2863553 with an L1 below that. There are no other numbers on them. I was told these are T/A - AAR exhaust manifolds because the numbers are stamped on the inside of them. I have read that these are the correct numbers. If this is correct, I would be interested in selling them to someone who would use them in a restoration. Can anybody give me any more information on them? I was going to use them on my 69 340 Swinger but I'd rather someone use them on a correct car. Thanks!

T/A's and AARs did not get unique exhaust manifolds.

The AAR/TA had numbers stamped in the normal ones had the letters raised.

I was at the Red Barns show and there were 6 or 7 TAs / AAR's in a row and a number of guys did say their cars should have the stamped #'s under the manifold...

Raised numbers visible from the top - 1968-1969 model years.

A few leftovers have been found on some 1970 model year cars.

No visible numbers on top - any 1970 model year 340.

Yup. 340-6s had the same manifolds as 340-4s.

Manifolds had minor redesign for '70 to reduce cracking.
