Hey guys I picked up a 440/727 out of a 73 chrysler and put in my car. On the tailshaft of the 727 it has this heavy colar that is held in by 2 bolts. What is this and do I need it? When I took the 2 bolts off you can see the transmission splines as this colar is at the very end of the transmission tailshaft. Im thinking I need to keep this, but not sure. I've never noticed this before on any cars, so just wondering what the he*l and do I need to keep this on here and what is it for????? Thanks!!!
